Despite Longchenpa’s sacred relationship with Bhutan and Pema Lingpa, no one has managed to accord the highest honour to the works of Longchen Rabjam, which includes scripting the texts with gold, silver, vermilion, turquoise and topaz mineral pigments or inks, so far in Bhutan.
However, a very special task has been undertaken in Bhutan by a team of 20 dedicated and highly skilled Bhutanese calligraphers along with seasoned editors of 100 Bhutanese Khenpos and Lopens, to manuscript the entire writings of Longchen Rabjam. The onus of success of this project lies solely on the expression of generosity and merit-making motivation in the form of monetary sponsorship by the Bhutanese populace.
This project aims to provide an opportunity for every Bhutanese to create a lasting connection to Kunkhyen Longchen Rabjampa. Anyone, involving either through financial contributions or other means with this project, will accumulate merits and wisdom, cleanse obscurations, and ensure success and longevity. Every bit of your generosity will help to extend and propagate the noble and sacred teachings of the Buddha and Longchenpa’s works. Certainly, such an act of kindness is always recognized by all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
This sacred project has been blessed and endorsed by many masters including His Holiness the Je Khenpo, His Holiness Dodrubchen, His Eminence Namkhai Nyingpo, and the patron of this project, His His Eminence Kathok Situ Rinpoche.

It is further sanctified as we managed to procure a bone relic of Longchenpa himself and had it dissolved into the ink used for the writing. Henceforth, every bit of letter in the text would represent the holy body, speech, and mind of Longchenpa.

It is a wonderful concept of the Project Director, Venerable Khenpo Phuntsho Tashi, to engage every Bhutanese with this project and raise funds from among Bhutanese living in Bhutan and overseas. People from all walks of life in Bhutan are directly connected to Longchenpa as all of us live within the proximity of the eight Lings. Hence, it is a kind of a spiritual mandate that each one of us should participate in this project. This effort will not only eulogize the Great Longchenpa eternally but also strengthen one of the pillars of our national wellbeing.
